Day One
Welcome to day #1! I am so excited you are here!
Thank you for taking the time and making any sacrifices you may have made in order to join us. We are a sisterhood, and we are starting this journey together.
You are not alone.
I would like to invite all of you ladies to join the Love Who You Are Experience Event. I hope you will feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions throughout the journey. You certainly are welcome to do so. Invite your friends to do this with you!
Tip of the Day:
Detox your mind and body regularly.
Likely you change your clothes everyday, you brush your teeth, you wash your face, your hands...
If we could visibly see our negative thoughts, emotions, and attitudes in the form of dirt, boogers, or any other bodily fluids we would get rid of them. Right? We wouldn't even think to carry them around with us all day. That would be gross.
When you wake up are you putting on the same old pair of resentment, or selfishness pants? Do you put on judgement, the ability to quickly criticize, or complain? Do you carry around that old bag of fear, anger, and shame?
What kind of feelings are holding you back? Wearing you down?

What kind of feelings are holding you back? Wearing you down?
Today we are going to detox. You deserve a new start.
Option #1: Grab a piece of paper or a journal, find a quite place, maybe you choose to do this before the rest of the household is awake, maybe you'll wait until long after everyone has gone to sleep. Maybe if your like me, you'll put on a movie and sneak away for a little bit. Find a comfortable place to sit. Now write.
This is what I like to call DUMPING. I keep a journal handy just for this purpose. Pull everything out of that head of yours and get it on paper. No one is going to see it. Start answering the questions below and let the words flow out of your mind and onto the paper. Let them leave you.
What are your fears?
What are you afraid of?
How do you feel today?
What are you stressing about?
What are you worried about?
How do you feel about your body?
How do you feel about your ability to be a good __________?
(mom, wife, girl friend, employee, coworker, friend, neighbor, etc.)
What things are you frustrated with?
How do you feel about money?
How are your relationships?
When I need a little bit more strength, I go with option #2.
Option #2: Pull out those negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions and put them on a sheet of paper. It cannot be in your journal. When you feel like you have fully expressed yourself... destroy it. You could tear it, cut it, or my personal favorite, BURN IT. Take it outside to somewhere safe, light the paper and WATCH IT BURN. Show your mind what you do to thoughts like that. You are in control. You are powerful. Trust me on this one.
There is power in releasing these thoughts. Don't believe me? Try it. See for yourself.
The above exercise is critical to opening up any emotions you may have locked up inside. I challenge you to take the time to get this done today.
The funny thing about this is... If you are holding onto emotional baggage, you will also hold onto fat, bloat, and toxins. Weight loss and management is both mental and physical. If you've reached a plateau, or feel like your not getting anywhere, try working on your negative thoughts.
