Shop of the Week - Week 17 - Walgreens

I've never been much of a Walgreens shopper but now I'm addicted!

First, they had a sale on Colgate toothpaste $2.79 and it was Buy 1 Get 1!
I had TWO $1.00 off coupons. I still had these because Colgate "Total" is a more pricey toothpaste. The sale just happened to include "Total"! The key to getting really cheap to free things is to use a coupon on the FREE item. You'll just have to check the stores coupon policy, but most stores will let you do it!

$2.79 (Buy 1 Get 1)
-1.00 off one Colgate Total
-1.00 off one Colgate Total (FREE one)
=.79 for both or .40 cents each!

I found Jergens Family Packs of soap at Winco for $2.44 normally $2.49 at Walgreens.
Walgreens had them on Sale for $1.99 with their in store coupon.
That makes them only 24 cents a bar.
I found some clearance individual soap bars for .39 cents so this really is a great deal.

I bought 3 packages!

I got some candy for Drive Ins and movie nights for .39 cents each.
My dad has made Chewy Sweet Tarts a tradition for Drive In Movies. Might as well buy them cheap so I won't have to buy them full price later!

This was my first time trying out their Register Rewards program. Its free and you don't have to sign up for anything. When you buy a product that earns one it just prints out at the register. You can then use it on your next purchase.

Stayfree Maxi pads were on sale for 2.99 and  I had a $1.00 off coupon= $1.99
And then this product qualified for $3.00 in Register Rewards(RR)
I paid $1.99 and $3.00 printed out at the register.
= $1.01 Money Maker!

I did this twice because I had two coupons. You have to do two different transactions because they are the same product. If you had two coupons each for several different items you can do one of each item in one transaction and then the other one of each in another transaction. In this way you will earn all of your RRs.

Nexcare Bandages were on Sale for $2.99.
Attached were Rebate forms for $2.99
=FREE

Again I bought two just in two different transactions. (I needed two receipts to send in separately for the rebate) I actually had Kevin with me and we did ONE Stayfree Maxi and ONE Nexcare Bandage box in one Transaction and then I did the same transaction for me.

I've been dying to blog about this!!

The long awaited trip to Macey's

Tuesday I found the deal for 10 for $5 on Fuze drinks (.50) each.
I had 1 coupon for $1.00 off two making them FREE

In my search for more coupons I came across eBay. I've never used eBay before and I was nervous but I decided to take the risk. I bought 20 coupons each for $1/ off two drinks.

They arrived on Saturday. It was better than Christmas!

Our large order passed $42 at check out, with the sale promotion and 20 coupons that took off $20 we only paid sales tax. $1.20!! The people in line and the cashier were very impressed :)

We got a case of Strawberry Guava and a case of Banana Colada
and a variety of the remaining flavors.

Fuze drinks go on sale for $1 each every once in a while. Gas stations sale them from a $1.50-$2

40 bottles!

We found sunflower seeds on sale for $1 a bag. They had coupons attached for $1 off two.
Making them .50 cents a bag! These will be so great for camping this summer.

I love overage!

Totally scored at Walmart today!

Kraft Mayo Reg. $3.68 on Roll back for $2.50 I used .75 cents off each. $1.75 EACH.       I was so excited when I found clearance Easter Starburst Jellybeans. Reg. $1.78 clearanced to 89 cents. Used $1.00 off two coupon to make them .39 cents each.                                      Trident gum was B1G1 only 48 cents each.    Allegra allergy medicine 5ct. was $5.94! The reason that is so awesome is because there was a $5 off manufacturer coupon and a $2 coupon from Target. Walmart will take Competitors coupons and Walmart allows overage with their NEW coupon policy. So I made $1.06 just for buying it!
I found Clairol Natural Instincts hair color on a clearance end shelve. In was clearanced for 6 bucks. I found a $3 off coupon to use and it just so happened to have a Venus Razor attached to the box. $1.50 for a Venus razor. I'll take that any day!

Similac Formula! I got this to earn extra overage to help pay for the rest of my items. I had a $5 coupon for each can and they were priced at $4.17. I got paid .83 cents for each can!

I made 12 cents for each package of floss!

ALL of this was FREE!!

Air Wick sprays Reg .97 cents. Used a B1G1 coupon making them about 48 cents each.
Overage paid for it!

Stopped by the vision center and gave them a flyer for a FREE bottle of contact solution.

My total came to $34.60 and with coupons came down to 8.88!! The Smilac alone would have cost $8.92.

I saved almost 40 dollars on this trip!

I also found a double pack of Sunscreen for 6 dollars. $3 a bottle is a great deal even for equate brand!

After shopping I stopped at Jamba Juice they were handing out FREE energy drinks to the first 100 customers after 2PM. I haven't tried it yet, but its from Jamba! It has to be good :)

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter Weekend. I was so excited this year! I have been buying things here and there on sale and with coupons. I ended up with a BIG basket for Kevin and TWO baskets for Kaylee.

All ready to dye Easter Eggs.

Such a big girl. She wanted to do it all by herself.

We bought our .99 cent eggs at Smiths a couple weeks before Easter. I had a coupon to take 0.55 cents off of two dozen eggs. 71 cents for each was pretty good!

Kaylee picked out a spring puppy and kitty egg dying set.
She LOVES puppies and kittys!

These are my cute eggs!

Kaylee's Easter dress.

It was a great day to spend with Family and celebrate that amazing day when our Savior rose from the dead.
I loved waking up to a nice sunny morning and hearing the birds sing. I wanted to shout He is Risen!
This year I've been more excited to bring the Easter bunny to our home,
but I've also never been so grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

I testify that he changes lives and its because of him that we can chose to change. I love my Father in Heaven and I hope my family continues to work toward our goal so that we may all be together FOREVER. I love them way to much to have it any other way!
