Can you believe it?

Well... I just turned 21 and Kaylee is now 14 months old. And she is walking! Just last week she decided to venture away from furniture, and day by day she is getting better. Yesterday she taught herself to get up to standing without pulling herself up on furniture.

New Floor put in by my wonderful Daddy!
We are getting settled into our new home which we finally moved into the night before Kaylee's birthday. Everything is painted and we have new carpet and recently new flooring put into our kitchen. It is starting to feel like home.

Poor little Kaylee is getting so confused about Kevin leaving for work. She finally warms up to him on Sunday and then he disappears on Monday. Also we are having the constant noise of construction workers out front because they are building a new phase on our street. Kaylee confuses the beeping of the trucks and tractors as Da Da's truck. I'm trying to explain it the best I can but for now we just say daddy went bye bye. We are really hoping a new job comes along soon. 60 hours and going out of town every week is not working out.

Home Sweet Home!

After months of headaches and running into every problem possible.. We have our own home! After we lost a townhouse we had put an offer on, we only had ONE day to find another place and get that new offer accepted. We found a cute, large, fixer upper duplex in Tooele and an okay, townhouse with a desperate need of TLC in Ogden. With only one offer accepted on the last day to receive the tax credit, our future was chosen. We now reside in Ogden, Utah! Notice the picture on the right. This is Kevin telling you how we feel about our Realtor and Loan Officer.

Despite all the "fun" we had with them. Check out the view. This was taken from our bay window in the Master Bedroom. aka My new room! BEAUTIFUL!

After signing all the fun papers that come with buying a house, I got straight to work. Washing, cleaning, sanding, taping, and painting. I thought it was never going to end! Kevin works long days and our goal was to have it ready to move in before Kaylee's 1st birthday. I owe a very special thank you to Kaylee's grandmas for watching her and allowing me to work from morning til night for an entire week. After getting a basement window fixed so we could officially own the keys to OUR house and replacing the carpet we were able to move in on July 8th, 2010 (the day before Kaylee's birthday.) Kevin and I spent the early hours of the morning getting boxes sorted and out of the way for her party.

How it all began...

September of 2006 I met Kevin by walking into 5 Buck pizza with some friends. I looked up and saw him and I knew that there was something about him. He took me out on our first date on Halloween. We started a tradition and have gone to Starbucks every Halloween since then. We got engaged May of 2008 just before my graduation and were married August 22, 2008 in the Bountiful Temple.

I've always wanted to be a Mommy and after a little convincing we got pregnant in November.

We're working on it!!

We have been pre approved for a home and were just working on getting all the papers and many many things in order. As of 9 PM Wednesday our offer was accepted for the townhouse we have choosen. We are very excited to get everything taken care of so we can move in!!

Kaylee has been crawling like crazy. Today she pulled herself up to the couch by herself. It will be nice to have some room. Not to mention her own room after 9 long months of sharing ours! So excited..
